This Privacy Policy explains how Avocado Orbit LLC (“Avocado Orbit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the operating entity and data controller behind the “Kept Running” brand and the website at keptrunning.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. What data we collect
We keep data collection minimal. We collect:
- Information you give us through the lead / inquiry form. This is primarily your email address and the details of your inquiry — for example, the machine make and model, the part you need, quantity, urgency, and any notes you add. Providing a phone number or company name is optional.
- Privacy-first site analytics via Fathom. We use Fathom Analytics to understand how the Site is used in aggregate. Fathom is privacy-first, cookieless, and does not track or profile individual visitors. It does not collect personal data or use cross-site tracking, and it is designed to be GDPR-, CCPA-, and ePrivacy-friendly without cookie consent banners. We see aggregate trends (page views, referrers, top parts), not individual identities.
- Internal event logging. To operate and improve the Site, we log non-identifying interaction events (such as searches performed, parts viewed, and requests submitted) so we can understand demand and fix problems. Where this logging is associated with a lead, it is tied to the inquiry you submitted.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and the Site is intended for business users, not children.
2. How we use your data
- To contact interested buyers — to respond to your inquiry, confirm fitment, quote a price and lead time, and let you know when a part can be made or is ready to ship.
- To fulfill and support orders you place with us.
- To improve the Site — understanding which parts are in demand and where visitors get stuck, using aggregate analytics and internal event logs.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud, abuse, and spam.
- To meet legal obligations where required.
3. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Site and communicate with you (for example, our analytics provider Fathom, our email/hosting providers, and our payment processor), and only to the extent they need it to perform those services on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
4. Retention
We keep inquiry and order information only as long as needed for the purposes above — to serve you, run our business, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements — after which we delete or anonymize it. Aggregate analytics data from Fathom contains no personal identifiers. You can ask us to delete your inquiry data at any time (see below).
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@keptrunning.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Because we collect so little and Fathom does not identify individuals, most requests concern the email and inquiry details you submitted through the lead form.
6. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard the limited data we hold.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
