This Return & Refund Policy applies to parts purchased through keptrunning.com. The Site and the “Kept Running” brand are owned and operated by Avocado Orbit LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). Because our parts are remanufactured and made to order, this policy is a little different from a typical retail store — please read it before you order.
Our fitment guarantee
If a part we made for your stated machine, model, or OEM reference doesn’t fit as specified, we’ll make it right — at our option, we’ll remake and replace the part or issue a refund of the purchase price. This guarantee depends on the accuracy of the machine, model, serial, and part details you gave us when ordering.
1. Made-to-order return conditions
Our parts are produced specifically for you from our drawings. To be eligible for a fitment replacement or refund, all of the following must be true:
- You supplied accurate machine/model/serial and part information at the time of order.
- The part does not fit or function as specified, or arrived defective or damaged.
- You contact us within 30 days of delivery.
- The part has not been modified, installed improperly, altered, or damaged after delivery.
- You can provide your order number, photos, and (if asked) measurements so we can verify the issue.
2. How to start a return
- Email support@keptrunning.com with your order number, the part, and what’s wrong (a fitment issue, a defect, or shipping damage).
- Include clear photos and, for fitment issues, the actual measurements or the mating dimensions on your machine.
- We’ll review and, if approved, send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and return instructions. Please don’t ship anything back before you receive an RMA.
- Return the part in its original condition using the method we provide. For our error (misfit, defect, or damage), we cover return shipping.
3. Timelines
- Report window: contact us within 30 days of delivery.
- Review: we’ll respond to your request within 2-3 business days.
- Replacement: remade parts follow standard made-to-order lead times — see our Shipping Policy. We prioritize warranty remakes where we can.
- Refunds: once we receive and inspect the returned part (or confirm the issue), approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
4. Non-returnable cases
Because parts are made to order, we generally cannot accept returns or issue refunds in these cases:
- Wrong information supplied by you — the part matches the machine/model/part details you provided, but those details were incorrect.
- Buyer’s remorse or change of mind on a correctly made, custom-produced part.
- Parts that have been installed, used, modified, machined, painted, or altered after delivery.
- Parts damaged after delivery through misuse, improper installation, or abnormal operating conditions.
- Requests made after the report window has closed.
- Normal cosmetic variation (finish, markings, tooling marks) that does not affect fit or function.
